Regular visits by the Kuwait
partners and staff to the 1st
BCT camps in central Baghdad
not only won, but ensured that the contract
was and is, performed to the standards
required with our fifty strong Iraqi
operations team. The original six months
contract has already been successfully
extended and renewed once with two of the
eight camp contracts now managed by KBR
including the Forward Operating Bases inside
the Green Zone and at Tadji Camp.
A wide range of military
products and equipment requirements have
also been supplied under tender to US Army/KBR
in both Iraq and Kuwait, including: Body
Armour Vests, Helmets and upgrade Plates,
Tower Lights, generators, cots, mattresses,
computers, shocker torches, tire strippers,
Ranger ATVs, and concrete barriers (which
show the Modern Development name at many
Baghdad military locations.)
Recent agreements, one as the
regional agent for 'Vestguard' a UK Body
Armour maker have now been established for
Iraq. We are also the regional agent for the
Khukuri House in Nepal the original Ghurka
knife makers.

The development of our own lorry
transport fleet is also designed to broaden our
base of operations. We have been transporting
our own equipment and for others since June
2003, we are providing water supply tankers as
well as waste removal tankers to all our
sanitisation contracts in central Baghdad.

souk district of South Farwaniya. With three
large showrooms selling imported furniture and
household furnishings from China, Malaysia,
Indonesia and India they offer a wide and
exciting range of products and choices.
The total sales of Modern
Development reached over $9 million dollars in
2003 and it is the goal of the company to
establish new sale channels for greater market
penetration in 2004 in both Kuwait and Iraq.
